Our Wonderful Members,

This coming year is going to be exciting as we near our 60th anniversary on the 30th day of October 2010.  Whether you like anniversaries or not, you have to admit that they are good times to reflect.  I am sure each of you has stories that are good for hours of playing “remember when”.  And, when you talk about those stories and days gone by with members who remember them, there is a lovely sense of connection.  When we share our history with fellow Women’s Council of Realtors® members…..a special bond develops…a sense that we all come from a common experience that we’ve arrived at the same place and that is TODAY!

Women’s Council of Realtors®’ history is powerful because it represents our collective experience….our collective goal.  In it we can find what we are capable of.  We are a community of successful entrepreneurs.  Today, because of how much our world has changed, community happens more deliberately.  We are brought together by like interests, like needs and like aspirations. It seems Women’s Council of Realtors® recognized this a long time ago.

In the past several years society and technology have given us new tools and lots of new possibilities: on line communities, business communities and career communities.  These are the communities that are getting our time and attention these days.  They are allowing us to follow our interests….control our time…connect with one another more consistently and support one another in ways that work for our diverse life styles.  They allow us to be our best.

Our Women’s Council of Realtors® community…the belonging, the growth and the shared accomplishment here today….will be for tomorrow and our future.  I hope you too will use this anniversary to honor your own personal and community histories as we move into the future together.

Thank you for this opportunity as your President for 2010.  Together, working as a team, our special community of Women’s Council of Realtors® will continue to flourish and prosper.  Thank you.
